About Us

Nadia graduated from The University of South Alabama with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May of 2016. She completed a sports residency at The University of Alabama's Recreation Center in 2017. She went on to pass her sports specialty exam in July of 2017 and is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy (formerly recognized as SCS). Nadia’s passion is not only physical therapy, but also performance training. Nadia is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), a Certified Level 1 Titleist Performance Institute Golf Fitness Instructor, and has her CrossFit Level 2 Coaching Certificate.

Prior to physical therapy school, Nadia competed in track and field at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH). During Nadia's senior year at UAH, the Lady Chargers took home the Peach Belt Track and Field Conference Championship and she was selected as a nominee for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award. She married her college sweetheart, Elliott Jones, in May of 2016. Elliott was a member of the 2011 NCAA Elite 8 Men's Basketball team at UAH and is a founder and Financial Advisor at Thornhill Capital Management. Nadia and Elliott have two beautiful daughters, Rory and Brady Joon Jones.

In the Fall of 2023, Nadia was invited to coach the throwers for the Para Track and Field Team at the University of Alabama. She has enjoyed helping grow the sport with Adapted Athletics at the University of Alabama. In addition to coaching, Nadia enjoys weightlifting, running, and writing. While Nadia is looking forward to jumping, throwing, and maybe even running at her first official Masters Track and Field season (eligible in Spring 2027)--chasing her daughters around is her favorite event of all.

Lauren graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May of 2014. She then went on to complete a sports residency program at UMMC where she worked closely with athletes from East Rankin Academy and Millsaps College. During her residency, Lauren also had the opportunity to intern with Ole Miss Athletics. Lauren passed her sports specialty exam in July 2016 and is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy (formerly recognized as SCS). Along with her Board-Certification, she is a Certified Dry Needling Provider and is trained in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy. Lauren has developed a passion for Women’s Health. She has experience treating various prenatal and postpartum conditions, and she also has her Girls Gone Strong Pre and Postnatal Coaching Certification. Lauren also serves as the Sports Residency Director here at Physiolete.

Prior to physical therapy school, Lauren attended Mississippi College. She played soccer her freshman year and was named American Southwest Conference Freshman Defender of the Year. Her senior year she was named into the Mississippi College Hall of Fame. Lauren is married to her husband Nathan and has two daughters, Peyton and Presley. They moved to Madison, Mississippi in June of 2025, as Nathan had the privilege to help open a new rehabilitation hospital in the area. Lauren will continue as Residency Director and will also step into the Practice Administrator role at this time.

Lauren has a passion for teaching and leading the next generation through church small groups and serving as a clinical instructor with PT students. In her free time, Lauren enjoys running, playing tennis, coaching her daughter's teams, and spending quality time with family.

Shelby graduated from The University of Alabama with her Bachelor of Science in Public Health in May of 2020. She finished her undergraduate career as a first generation, summa cum laude graduate. Shelby has helped manage a local business and worked in childcare for nearly 10 years. 

Shelby had knee surgery in January of 2021 and was referred to Physiolete for therapy. During her recovery, she grew close to the Physiolete family and was happy to join the team later that year. She loves the Tuscaloosa community and is so happy to be able to spend so much time with people from all over Tuscaloosa.

Shelby grew up in Tuscaloosa, but was born in Guatemala. She speaks conversational Spanish and visits family in Guatemala as frequently as possible.

She married her high school sweetheart, Cameron Mckinstry, in November of 2020. Cameron grew up in Tuscaloosa and works at Bama Exterminating as a termite inspector. Shelby and Cameron have two cat children, Mr. and Miss Kitty.

Shelby enjoys traveling but always looks forward to coming home and spending time with her little family. She is a hobby potter and paints in her free time, but loves to break a sweat at brawl and strength training classes at Barre Code.

Allie graduated from the University of Alabama Birmingham with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in December of 2020. Allie is a Certified Dry Needling provider and is a CrossFit Level 1 Coach.  She has coached many athletes in both the Birmingham and Tuscaloosa area since 2017. Starting in the Spring of 2025, Allie will be coaching CrossFit at Element Fitness.

Allie is a Tuscaloosa native and prior to physical therapy school, she attended the University of Alabama where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Food and Nutrition. She went on to be accepted into multiple graduate school programs for both Doctorate of Physical Therapy School and Physician's Assistant school.

After graduating from UAB in 2020, Allie married her husband Kyle Moody, and they continued to call Tuscaloosa home. They met in 2016 through a Church of the Highlands small group. Fun fact, Kyle actually worked for Lauren and Nadia for several years in corporate physical therapy before Physiolete PT was even a dream.  Allie worked in the outpatient physical therapy setting for a year and a half before joining the Physiolete PT family.

Allie and Kyle have two beautiful children Baylor (2.5yr) and Miller (1 yr). Allie enjoys CrossFit, coaching, participating in any recreational/competitive sports, being outside, and spending all the time with family. She may be one of the biggest Alabama fans you meet and will gladly talk about anything BAMA. Roll Tide!

Claire graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in May of 2023. She loves adventure and did all four of her clinical rotations in PT school in a different state. Following graduation from PT school, Claire completed a 15-month Sports Residency with Physiolete and stayed on as a full time Physical Therapist following completion of her residency.  Prior to physical therapy school, Claire earned a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at Mississippi College where she was a member of the women’s soccer team her freshman year, the student director of intramurals, and a member of the sports media team.

Claire was born and raised in Tupelo, MS. When she’s not at work, an ideal Saturday would most likely include a slow morning with a book and a cup of coffee (and her dog, Sadie), an outdoor run, and trying something new with her friends.

Claire is passionate about physical therapy because of the unique and interactive role that therapists get to play in helping people reach their full potential. She can’t wait to get you back to doing what you love!

Courtney is native to Tuscaloosa and graduated from the University of Alabama with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Sports Science. During her time at the University, Courtney was on the University's Equestrian team and competed at Nationals in Lexington, KY. 

Courtney graduated from the University of Saint Augustine with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in April 2023. Courtney is passionate about serving the older adult population and became an Institute of Clinical Excellence (ICE) certified Older Adult Specialist in the Modern Management of the Older Adult (MMOA) in June 2023. Since then, she has strived to bring a life-changing and fitness-forward approach to the older adult population to help them regain strength, independence and confidence to do the things they love. 

In her free time, Courtney loves to play with her dogs, Lady (black lab) and Archie (adopted son/Aussie Doodle). She also enjoys weightlifting in her home gym with her Fiancé, Garrett. She is also very passionate about clean eating/cooking and loves making fresh meals at home throughout the week. 

Halea Wood graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in May 2025. She is currently completing a 15-month Sports Physical Therapy Residency with Physiolete.

Before entering physical therapy school, Halea earned her Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training with a minor in Biology from the University of Southern Mississippi (USM). During her time at USM, she worked with a variety of sports teams, including the USM Conference Championship-winning Women’s Track and Field Team and the Oak Grove State Championship Football Team.

Originally from French Camp, Mississippi, Halea has been surrounded by athletics her entire life. Her background as an athletic trainer sparked a passion for helping athletes through the rehabilitation process and guiding them back to the sports they love.

Outside of the clinic, Halea enjoys spending time and traveling with her family and her Boykin Spaniel, Cooper. She is also actively involved with Central Hills Baptist Retreat, a local church camp where she has worked and volunteered since 2018.

Brannon graduated from Samford University with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May of 2026. Prior to PT school, she received a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Alabama in 2023. She is currently completing a 15-month Sports Physical Therapy Residency with Physiolete.

Brannon is originally from Brentwood, TN. But don’t let that fool you, her Tuscaloosa roots run deep and she is as big of an Alabama fan as anyone! It was while growing up that she discovered a love of running and has spent the last 16 years loving it more and more each day.

Through a series of running injuries, she spent a lot of time in PT herself. In the fall of 2020, she found herself at Physiolete following two ankle surgeries. She immediately recognized something special about this place and it quickly became the dream to one day come back and work at Physiolete!

Her passion for treating patients comes largely from her own experiences. It is always her goal to treat each person individually and wholistically. She truly believes God has put each patient in front of her for a unique reason and is grateful to serve in this way!

Jacobi Hudson graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in December of 2025. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed a certification in Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare through the UAB School of Medicine. Jacobi is currently completing a 15-month Sports Physical Therapy Residency with Physiolete.

Jacobi’s passion for sports physical therapy developed through his experiences working with the UAB Women's Soccer and Birmingham Legion FC organizations. During that time, he gained an appreciation not only for the physical demands of sport but also for the people behind the performance. Those experiences reinforced his belief that athletes are more than their sport and deserve care that recognizes them as individuals first. Prior to becoming a physical therapist, Jacobi spent several years as a personal trainer and movement specialist, helping clients improve performance, prevent injury, and achieve their goals.

Outside the clinic, Jacobi enjoys training for fitness events, spending time with friends, and volunteering in the community and at his local church. He is passionate about serving others and helping people reach their highest potential both on and off the field.

I am a retired elementary school teacher. I have a husband and two adult daughters. We love to travel and are big sports fans, especially University of Alabama football. I have a goldendoodle named Chester that takes up a lot of my time. My hobbies include cooking and reading.
